Sibiu – Pitesti Highway, Section 2: Boita – Cornetu

The Sibiu-Piteşti highway is an integral part of the Pan-European Corridor No. IV, which crosses Romania from west to east. Section 2: Boita - Cornetu represents one of the two mountain sections of Romania's first highway across the Carpathians – the Trans-Carpathians. This section, located on Valea Oltului, is 31.33 km long and is considered one of the most challenging highway segments in Romania.
